The port-city is located on the western shore of the Black Sea and hides true treasures in its bosom. The municipality on the Romanian coast has three beautifully arranged beaches where you can relax and enjoy the sea breeze. But, in addition to this, Constanța has other surprises to offer to those eager to discover them. Below are some of the sights you should not miss on your getaway to the sea:
Tomis Port
The port of Tomis was consolidated in 1958 and is the fourth in Europe in terms of its size. The promenades on the seafront are some of the favourite activities of both locals and tourists. The walk in the port area will allow you to see the modern marina where there are many sailing boats and modern yachts. If you want to have fish dishes you will find many terraces and restaurants in this dream setting. What could be more comforting than a dinner close to the beach while admiring the sunset? Tomis Harbour is located in the historic part of the city.
The Casino
The casino is the symbol of the city and is 140 years old. The beginnings of its existence are linked to an important event for Dobrogea: the end of Ottoman rule and the passage under the Romanian administration. After the event in 1880 this was the first building built by the sea. The casino was the meeting place for elites, tourists and sailors. At that time, the building housed games, dance and reading rooms. Over time, the monument was destroyed and rebuilt in 1910 in Art Nouveau style. At that time, the Casino in Constanța was at the top of the list of the most famous buildings of this type in Europe. During the First World War, the space became a hospital centre, and later, it resumed its natural course. The building can be visited free of charge. Although its current state does not fully reveal the lush landscape of its glory period, the Casino remains an emblem for Constanța.

The museum complex includes over 430,000 pieces characteristic of various historical periods: from the Palaeolithic to the modern era. The objects exhibited here are diverse in origin: Greek, Roman, Byzantine and medieval elements.
