There are various ways to spend your time in Bucharest, depending on your availability. You might prefer to immerse yourself in the history of the place, admire the Belle Époque buildings, or wander through the parks. If you only have one day to explore, don’t be discouraged.

08.15 - 09.15 Breakfast

First of all, get your dose of energy to pay off in exploring Bucharest. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and at Frudisiac it is also the best. Avocado toast, ricotta pancakes, burrata toast – these are some of the delicacies you can find here. Frudisiac is located at Entrance Bitolia 4.

After you’ve enjoyed your coffee, take it on foot or by bus to the first objective we propose: the Ceaușescu House. The distance between the locations is approximately 1.3 km.

09.45 - 11.00Visit to the Spring Palace

The building is also identified by the name “Spring Palace”. This was the residence of Romania’s last communist head of state and is located at the end of Primăverii Boulevard. Of the 80 rooms of the palace, 60 are open to the general public. The interior is decorated in a sumptuous style, with mosaic, marble, glass, crystal chandeliers, works of art by established artists.

11.20 - 12.30The Village Museum

About 2 km away, on the shore of Lake Herăstrău, is the largest open-air ethnographic museum in the country. It brings together over 100 traditional houses, specific to several areas in Romania. Thus, you will also get to know the world of the village, as it was in the period of the 17th centuries, until the beginning of the 19th century.

12.45 - 14.30Lunch

If you want to have a tasty, traditional lunch, you can opt for the Pescărușul restaurant (from Herăstrău). Here you will be able to indulge in traditional Romanian dishes as well as some Mediterranean, fish dishes.

14.30 - 15.20Short break at the Arc de Triomphe

The next point to consider is the Arch of Triumph. This monument has a rich history behind it. In short, the Arch of Triumph is one of the symbols of Romanian unity.

Next, head towards Victory Avenue.

15.50 - 16.15Victoria Passage

The passage is studded with colorful shadows that will brighten your day.

16.30 - 16.50Stavropoleos Church

The church in the center of the city is a symbol of Brancoven architecture and is a real delight for onlookers. It dates from the 18th century.

17.00 - 17.20Carousel scholars

This is one of the most beautiful bookstores in the country. The atmosphere here is one of a story, which is why you should not miss this location.

17.50 - 18.10The Palace of the Parliament

This architectural splendor could not be missing from the list of recommendations. This is the second largest administrative building in the world.
